OMG, eight, I have AT LEAST eight weird things.
8. If ever I see Tom Welling on the street, I will be tackling him to the ground and/or jumping on his back. He is super-cute.

I feel special!
Wow. I came home early mostly to look for better drugs, when I discovered I had been tagged for the "seven weird things about me" meme. And, in the spirit of procrastination (and also bc I love reading/felt honored by whatpossessedme), I composed this list:
1. I will be very angry one day if I never have children, bc the visits from Aunt Flo can be excruciating. Midol, where did I put my Midol???
2. I was chased by a crab when I was 2 or 3. My mother had turned her back when one popped out of the sink and followed me down the hallway. I escaped by crawling hurriedly (I could not speak yet/scream for help) into the bathroom and then hauled myself into the tub. That is where they found me hours later. Crab is one of my favorite foods -- revenge? maybe.
3. I have an irrational fear of big waterbugs. The Secret tells me that I shouldn't keep thinking about them, but I do. It got so bad that I started to sleep under a mosquito net. And, no, I have yet to see one in my apartment - the net is for "just in case". (The net came down when I left my cat alone in the apartment on vacation [yes, someone came to visit the cat daily]. I decided to try to let it go this year, so far, so good).
4. I am a native NYer, but have only been to brooklyn 8 times. 6 of those times were in the last year -- now I see what everyone has been saying about park slope and willyB being so cool. Hey, when I was in HS, we were told never to fall asleep on the "L" train in case we ended up in willyB. And, then they said that if we DID end up in willyB, that we should "not get off the train". Does no one else remember the 'dollar muggers' on the train and bernard goetz?
5. I never let the very old or very young pass me when I am jogging in the park. Even if I have to bust a move and pay for it later. so competitive I am, sometimes.
6. I was (professionally) rejected by a shrink a few years ago. After talking to me for an hour, he told me that I was "normal" and sent me home -- even though I told him I thought I needed, like, regular/weekly sessions!!
7. I quite smoking cold turkey after more than a decade by reading "the easy way to quit smoking" by allen carr. God bless him.
Uh-oh. I so don't know that many other bloggers, so I will have to tag my friend, D
D, are you ever going to answer my long email re editing the chapters of your book? =)

Happy New Year - New Me
Well, it is a new year and I have decided to fill it with new things, including this blog.
I have never been good at revealing myself, my thoughts, my writings and inner workings; so I'll just have to see how this goes and hope that the WWW will be kind.
Please do not reveal me if you know me, I do have some semi-stalkers/crazies out there...they know who they are.
